Openttd Game

  • Simutrans is an open-source transport simulator. Establish a successful company.
  • OpenTTD uses port 3979 (both TCP and UDP) by default for multiplayer games. So you have to port forward your router to open this port. Just look into a tutorial on your specific router to know where you have to go in the options to enable it. If this port isn't open then your game wont advertise on line.
  • Transport tycoon business simulation game. Online multiplayer games are available, as well as a single-player against computer. Scroll the map with two fingers, when you are building roads or stations. Close dialogs by dragging them to the screen edge.

The rate is approximately 1.2 kbyte/sec upload and 1.2 kbyte/sec download per client. As of OpenTTD 0.7.0 (or more precise since r15242) it is possible to move between companies/spectator and create new companies without having to rejoin the game, You can find the 'New Company' option in the company list, it is only available if you are a spectator.

We present the first bugfix release of the 1.11 release series!

Along with our usual bug fixes, we’ve broken our own rules and included a couple of features in this release - a vsync option which should hopefully fix screen-tearing seen by some people, and volume controls in the Options window (with better defaults).

Notable bug fixes include improved scaling of a few windows, and better detection of faulty GL-renders which should avoid some crashes on startup due to bad video renderer.

Openttd Save Game

Welcome to the OpenTTD general gameplay tutorial. Here you will be shown how to start a game and set up bus and train routes. This will probably take around 30 minutes. If you get stuck, position your mouse on top of a button and after a two second wait a tooltip with a description of what the button does will appear. The menu to the right shows more detailed tutorials on particular aspects of the game that you may like to investigate if there is something specific you want to learn about.

OpenTTD's main menu

Openttd Game

Upon starting OpenTTD, you will be presented with the main menu.

  • Click the New Game button. This will open the World Generation screen, filled with even more dazzling options. Leave these to their defaults for now.

The World Generation dialog. The four images at the top allow you to change the climate. We'll leave all options the way they are for this tutorial.

  • Click the big green Generate button. The game will now create a new world for you to play in, and the game will start.

Inside the game

Right after the start of a new game.

The screen you now see is what you'll be playing all of OpenTTD in. In the middle you can see the green landscape, perhaps with an industry, town or forest here and there. This is the world you'll be taming using the tools of your trade: roads, railways, docks and airports.

At the top of the screen you'll notice a menu bar. Hover your mouse on a button for two seconds - a tooltip will appear to tell you about what the button does. Some of the buttons have menus under them. You can access the menu options by holding down the left mouse button, moving down the menu and releasing on the option you want.
